If you had asked me years ago if I could build a deep, meaningful connection with a child through a computer screen, I might have been a little skeptical. But after thousands of hours of teletherapy, I can tell you with a big smile: absolutely!

In fact, there is something so sweet about seeing a child in their familiar school environment, feeling safe and ready to play and learn.

Making Virtual Therapy "Kid-Sized"

I love using interactive digital tools that feel like games to the kids. We share virtual high-fives, we use fun filters to practice speech sounds, and we celebrate every little win with digital fireworks!

For many students who feel shy or overwhelmed in a big clinic, the virtual space is a cozy "safe zone" where they can really open up. Seeing their faces light up when they log on is the best part of my day!
